José Castañeda
Equity Sales Trading
José Castañeda has over 26 years of experience in equity markets. He joined the equities sales trading team at Bestinver Securities in 2024 after 14 years being part of the investment committee and head of trading at Cygnus Asset Management. He began his professional career in 1996 as a sales trader for stocks and equity derivatives at Merrill Lynch, later becoming part of teams at Morgan Stanley, BNP, and Ahorro Corporación, covering both Spanish and foreign accounts.
José has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, specializing in Monetary Economic Policy.
