Chief Economic and Financial Officer
Mario de la Fuente joined BESTINVER as Risk and Compliance Officer until 2015, when he became Chief Financial Officer. He reports to the CEO and is an attorney-in-fact of the Companies since 2007. He was also a Director of Bestinver SICAV Luxembourg.
Before working for BESTINVER he worked for Arthur Andersen-Deloitte and was Head of Management Oversight at Avanzit-Ezenti, where he was actively involved in restructuring the group and formulating its viability plan.
Since 2011, he has lectured in Value Investing and Accounting on the Master’s programmes at ICADE-Comillas, IEB and OMMA.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from FAU (USA). He also holds a Degree in Commercial Management and Marketing from ESIC, an Executive MBA from EOU and the M3 Programme from the IE.
